O.A.S.I.S is an acronym standing for: Older Adult Still In Service. This is an older adult group ministry of Jesus House Baltimore involving adults in their second half of life (i.e. adults fifty (50) years of age and older).
Older adults are regarded as a heterogeneous group of people with respect to their unique characteristics, attributes and their diverse needs. While they appear to have more experience, more skills and often more wisdom than younger people, older adults also have more health and financial problems.
The O.A.S.I.S group ministry of Jesus House Baltimore was established to harness the attributes and address the needs of the older adults. The goal is to move older adults from a position of success to a position of significance (in other words helping them put behind past accomplishments or losses and press towards the future crown of glory {Phil. 3:13}) so that the older adults can positively impact their generation and be relevant.
VISION
Fellowship of older adults who are committed to using their life long acquired and God-given gifts, skills, experience, wisdom and faith to further the work of the Kingdom of God.
MOTTO
Service and Leadership.
MISSION STATEMENT
